Animal Answers Pet Care Services

The following are services supplied by Animal Answers Pet Care. However, should you not see the service that you require please contact us by phone, email or by using the contact form and we will be happy to discuss your requirements with you and quote accordingly.

Dog Walking

Dogs are collected from your home and walked for 30 or 60 minutes once or twice a day. We will meet you and your dog(s) before the initial walk to discuss your requirements. If you are at work, called away unexpectedly or running late we can ensure that your dog is exercised and entertained in your absence.

Keys to your home can  either be left with a neighbour for collection or we will keep a copy for you. We can then also act as an emergency contact should you be running late from work or lock yourself out of your home. Keys to your home are not labelled with your address and are kept locked away with a reference number only.

Long term or one-off assignments can be catered for. Payment in full will be required in advance for all bookings with the exception of emergency requests which will be agreed on booking.

Dog Boarding

Dogs are boarded in foster homes, they have the run of the house, not kennelled or caged, and treated like one of the family while you are away. Walked at least twice a day they too will have a fun and exciting holiday.

Dogs will be collected from your home before your departure and returned at a convenient time on your return. Owners will be welcome to visit the foster home before confirmation of booking.

You will be asked to provide enough food for their stay, their bed if they have one and any toys, leads, bowls, medicines and treats. These will help them to feel more settled in your absence. Also details of your pet's veterinary practice.

Unfortunately bitches in season cannot be boarded and all dogs must be up to date with their annual vaccinations, flea, tick and worming prevention. Only dogs from one family will be fostered at a time unless with written permission from both sets of owners.

Cat & Small Animal Visits

This service provides an excellent alternative to cattery boarding and the distress caused by transporting pets. Cats and other small animals such as rabbits, chinchillas, chickens, aviary birds, rodents and reptiles are known to be less stressed when kept in their own environment. Animal Answers can visit your home during the day while you are away to feed, water and clean your pets.

In addition to this we can bring in mail, papers, open curtains, turn on/off lights, water plants and anything else to give your home a lived in look. The average visit lasts approximately 30 minutes

You are asked to provide enough food to cover your absence along with details of your pet's veterinary practice.

We would meet you in advance of your booking to discuss your requirements but would recommend 1-2 visits per day. A 10% will be required to secure your booking.

Animal & House Sitting

If you would prefer additional security for your pet and your home then Animal Answers can provide a pet sitter to stay in your home. This is an ideal service for owners of highly sensitive or nervous dogs or cats or for owners with many animals which require a lot of care and attention.

You are asked to provide enough food and bedding to cover your absence along with details of your pet's veterinary practice. Pet sitters will aim to keep your pet's routines as close to their usual as possible.

Clients can expect total honesty, confidentiality and respect for their property and privacy.

We would meet you in advance of your absence to discuss your requirements whereby a 10% deposit will be required to secure your booking.
